Dr. Omar Shah

Omar Shah, MD, is a psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist who treats mental health conditions of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. He is eager to serve new clients at Integrated Health & Wellness Service, based in Wilmington, Delaware. 

Dr. Omar Shah is an adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist. He currently serves as full-time faculty at the Harvard Medical School and as an attending Physician at Boston Children's Hospital. He also works at a private practice, New England Psychiatric Center, located in Cambridge, MA. He is a Rush for School Scholar of ASAM Member Society of Addiction Medicine and a recipient of the AAAP American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry John Renner Award. He served as the Vice Chair of the APA American Psychiatric Association Leadership Fellowship and was recently awarded the APA Resident Recognition Award. He has worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Shah completed his adult psychiatry residency through the Delaware Psychiatry Residency Program, his child and adolescent psychiatry training at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College, and a fellowship in Addiction Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Shah has also completed a two-year fellowship in psychoanalysis at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia.

Dr. Shah is interested in working with patients of all ages and treats pediatric, adult, and geriatric mental health conditions. He looks forward to providing services for new clients at IHAWS. Unfortunately, he is only able to accept clients at this time who are willing to pay out-of-pocket rates. He will provide you with a detailed invoice to submit to your insurance for reimbursement if requested.
